(Minneapolis, MN) -- Alexi Casilla singled in the game-winning run in the bottom of the 12th inning as the Twins beat the Tigers, 6-5, in a dramatic one-game tiebreaker for the AL Central title at the Metrodome. Carlos Gomez scored the decisive run after leading off the 12th with a single. Detroit jumped out to a 3-0 lead only to see Minnesota jump ahead 4-3 in the seventh with a two-run homer by Orlando Cabrera. Magglio Ordonez knotted the game at four in the eighth with a solo blast. Brandon Inge put the Tigers back on top with an RBI double in the 10th, but Minnesota tied the game again in the bottom of the frame on an RBI single by Matt Tolbert.

Bobby Keppel was credited with the win for the Twins, who will take on the New York Yankees in the opening round of the playoffs. Game One of their best-of-five American League Division Series is today at Yankee Stadium. Ace CC Sabathia will get the start on the mound in Game One for the Yankees. Sabathia is just 2-and-3 with a 7.92 ERA in five career postseason starts. New York went 7-and-0 against the Twins during the regular season.

Both National League Division Series get underway today. This afternoon, the Phillies will begin defense of their World Series title when they host the Rockies in Philadelphia. Later this evening, Manny Ramirez and the Dodgers will host Albert Pujols and the Cardinals.
