Tubberville is just the lastest name to surface in relation to the head football coach position at KU.
(Kansas City, MO) -- A former SEC head coach is interested in the vacant football job at the University of Kansas. Former Auburn and Ole Miss coach Tommy Tuberville told the "Kansas City Star" he'd like to hear from KU athletic director Lew Perkins about the position, calling Kansas a good program. Meanwhile, the "Star" reports the Jayhawks have talked with current Stanford head coach Jim Harbaugh and he is likely their top choice. Harbaugh's wife is from the Kansas City area.
Other names connected to the job include Buffalo's Turner Gill, Minnesota's Tim Brewster, and Ole Miss' Houston Nutt who has stated he is not interested in the KU position.
