(Lawrence, KS) -- Change has already begun within the Kansas football program. The "KC Star" reports that Jayhawks assistant coaches were asked to pack up their offices yesterday, just one day after Turner Gill was formally introduced as the successor to head coach Mark Mangino. Wide receivers coach David Beaty, known for his recruiting efforts in Texas, is the only assistant being considered for a position under Gill. The strength and conditioning staff will also not be retained.
