After Wednesday's loss to the Twins, the Royals dealt left fielder Scott Podsednik to the Los Angeles Dodgers for a pair of minor leaguers. Kansas City received Triple-A catcher Lucas May and Single-A pitcher Elisaul Pimentel.
The 34-year-old Podsednik was batting .310 with five home runs and 44 RBI and 30 stolen bases with the Royals.
May was batting .296 with 11 homers and 45 RBI with Triple-A Albuquerque, while Pimentel was 9-and-3 with a 3.49 ERA with Single-A Great Lakes.
Last Thursday, the Royals traded third baseman Alberto Callaspo to the Los Angeles Angels.
