Open house from 3 till 6 today
Salina radio station News Radio 1150 KSAL is celebrating 75 years.
KSAL is Salina's heritage radio station, signing on the air in Salina back in June of 1937.
Salina's most enduring radio station, its first owner was R.J. Laubengayer, who not only was president of the Salina Journal and KSAL, but director of Consolidated Printing and Farmers National Bank in Salina.
A special live radio show, featuring classic audio from over the years and former KSAL personalities in the studio, will air from 2 till 6 Friday afternoon.
The public is invited to an open house Friday afternoon as well. It will feature tours of the KSAL facilities, a display of radio station memorabilia, and refreshments. The open house is from 3 till 6.
The KSAL studios are located on the the third floor of the Townsite Building at 131 N. Santa Fe in Downtown Salina.
