Simpson Wins First Major

It's the first major title for Simpson.

Webb Simpson closed with a pair of 2-under 68s on the weekend to win the U.S. Open by one shot over Graeme McDowell and Michael Thompson. It's the first major title for Simpson, whose previous best finish in a major was a tie for 14th in last year's U.S. Open.
