Motorcycle slid over 100 feet after striking an armadillo
An armadillo causes a motorcycle crash early Monday morning.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Jeremy Krankenberg from Hudson, Kansas, was riding a motorcycle on a rural road west of Hudson.
The motorcycle struck an armadillo in the road. Krankenberg lost control of the bike and layed it over on the highway. The bike slid over 100 feet.
Krankenberg, who was wearing a helmet and leather jacket, was transported by EMS to the hospital in Great Bend with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash happened in Stafford County at 7:40 Monday morning, on Northeast 100th Street, a half-mile east of U.S. 281 Highway, or 3.5 Miles West of Hudson.

What do the opossum and the armadillo have in common? they both make road pizza but the opossums is flatter.

more breaking news - local authorities are trying to determine if this was an elderly armadillo that caused the accident.

Armadillo's have a keen sense of hearing, I'm surprised it didn't hear the loud pipes coming and get out of the way.....like the rest of us are evidently supposed to do.

The Armadillo heard the bike but it had fallen off a truck the had come up from the south and didn't car because of its Don't mess with Texas attitude!

They need some of them in front of Walmart Doors...not just for bikers either!!!!!I am really surprised that more customers dont get hurt...Keeps the angels really busy and hopping...I am glad he wasn't hurt much...

Speaking of Walmart how about all theses people driving the wrong way or the disabled pulling into handicapped parking facing the wrong way of traffic. They need to be given a citation and lose there handicap cards and privilege to use those spaces.
