Jeff Garretson - Wed 12:37 PM 06/20/2012
Police are investigating after jewelry is stolen.
The owner of an heirloom collection of rings contacted SPD after discovering some items around the home were missing.
Police say there was no sign of forced entry at a house located at 217 E. Beloit.
Sometime Tuesday morning between 6am and 11:50am, someone removed five rings, a digital camera and a carton of cigarettes.
Total loss is listed at $630.

There again, if the rings were so valuable why keep them in the house. Banks still rent safe deposit boxes. Never fails. You are right on ksfarmdue & iamgonnagetu.. Of course @630.00 total loss, rings must have been short on diamonds.

it's really sad that you people think a dollar amount is what's important, the rings were more sentimental. and what's the most important is the fact someone broke in their house and how scary that is for people. obviously the crook was walking or their big screen tv's would be gone

you'd be surprised how much stuff one crook could carry off wonder if the cops would even notice a big screen TV strapped to the top of a car going thru town even? rings and a camera are easy to hide
