A central Kansas man charged in his wife's stabbing death describes the couple's faltering relationship in hand-written notes.
An Assaria man charged in his wife's stabbing death describes the couple's faltering relationship in hand-written notes.
The Salina Journal reported that those notes were admitted into evidence Friday as Michael Andrew Paulson's murder trail continued in Saline County District Court.
Paulson, who goes by his middle name, wrote that he can't talk to Valeria Paulson. He also wrote that it was a struggle to keep going in a relationship he didn't think would last, especially after their children grew up.
Valeria Paulson was killed in July 2010 at the couple's home in Assaria. Andy Paulson is charged in her death as well as with attempted first-degree murder in the stabbing of his sister-in-law, Jessie Putman.
The trial is expected to continue at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

Sorry the way I see it this Guy was pushed beyond his limits and just snapped. What he did was wrong yes but she pushed him more then he could stand. How many of you might not do the same under the circumstances. He should get no more prison time than the black Guy who killed two people or the Mexican that killed one person. Anything else would be discrimination.

Iamgonnagetu, as Chris Rock once said, "I do not condone it, but I understand it!"

I to understand where something like this could happen when an individual is pushed into a corner. I also believe he could not take anymore and snapped. If he was in his right mind he would not have stabbed his sister in law who was trying to help him with all of this. I find it amazing the county attorney did not go after the black guy who killed 2 people as hard as she is going after this guy. Evidently there is a double standard.

He murdered his wife and almost his innocent sister in law and for that he should be punished. But I do not see this man just doing it. He was pushed into this by his wife's actions, I mean shacking up with different guys is one thing but supporting a shack up with 50K is another. Put yourself in his shoes with all he had to endure and she just kept doing it to him. Sorry there are alot of people out there that would reach the point of no return. She definately had no feelings for her kids or him.

You guys are just embarrassing. Been in a marriage and she cheated, lied and manipulated. Just when I walked away she would try to pull me back, and yes we had kids. Know the difference and why this guy needs the death penalty? I was mature enough to see the game finally and walk away. There is never an excuse in anyway for what this guy did and you that are saying he was driven to it or you can understand the reason are either 12 years old or grown immature idiots making all guys look stupid.

From an older womans view, I do not condone what he did, I can however see where he probably had enough. From everything I have been reading and hearing, he forgave her for MANY, MANY indiscretions, how does a man forgive his wife for running the family so far into debt by supporting an alcoholic boyfriend that won't work!!?? Does the man deserve and need to go to prison, darn right he does!! NOONE should ever get away with murder, Yes, he should have walked away, I suspect he would define "Crime of passion". He most certainly needs some intense counseling. She should have thought about what she was doing to her family, she obviously did not care about any of them. I feel so sorry for the children here, I hope they are receiving help to heal from this horrible incident.

Justadude did your old lady support one of her lovers with 50k of your money? Probably not as you do not sound like you would have that much money. Every person handles things differently and you cannot judge someone by your experience. Maybe he loved her alot more than you loved your ex. Maybe you had another babe on the side you took up with. Sorry I don't buy your comments.

I agree Iamgonngetu, everyone's stress level is different as personality. 50k on a credit card? Yea my stress level would go up a bit. I do not owe that much on my house.
