Bicycle Rider Hit By Car

A woman is hurt Friday in an accident involving a car and a bicycle in South Salina.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 52-year-old Rodney Sims from Abilene was exiting off Intestate 135 onto Schilling Road. He was stopped at a stop sign at the bottom of the ramp.
Troopers say that Sims failed to see a bicycle in the crosswalk, and struck it.
The bicycle rider, 22-year-old Jessica Koleno of Salina, was injured. She was transported to Salina Regional Health Center.
The accident happened at 7:25 Friday morning at the Schilling and I-135 southbound exit ramp in Salina.

Here is a perfect example why we people need take time slow down and watch the cross walks. I see it time and time again.. Some fault is the bikers and motorists. I see many bikers mainly teenager darting across crawford weaving traffic you kids are asking to get killed. Also bikers need to remember to obey there traffic cross walk signals. Im glad this young girl was ok...
