Motorcycle flipped multiple times into field

A Great Bend man is killed in a motorcycle crash as he flees police in Hays.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Ryan McGinnis was on a 2012 Suzuki motorcycle, fleeing from Hays Police early Friday evening.

McGinnis failed to negotiate a curve and hit embankment. He flipped multiple times and ended up in a field.

McGinnis was killed in the crash. Troopers say that he was not wearing a helmet.

The crash happened at the U.S. 183 Bypass and Golf Course Road at about 6:45 Friday evening.

I don't see why police need to get all in hurry to catch someone. These people can not out run a radio. Somewhere down the road they will get stopped by another officer.
