Democrats Lament Kansas Primary Results
Associated Press - Wed 03:15 PM 08/08/2012
Democratic leaders in the Kansas Legislature are hoping Republicans disillusioned with the results of their party's primaries will back Democrats in November.
House Minority Leader Paul Davis and Senate Minority Leader Anthony Hensley said Wednesday the general election gives voters one more chance to decide how far Gov. Sam Brownback can advance his conservative agenda.
Eight moderate GOP incumbents were ousted from the state Senate Tuesday by conservative challengers.
Hensley says an unprecedented amount of outside money was spent on the GOP primaries. But he and Davis say despite being the minority party in Kansas, Democrats offer an alternative to stopping conservative policies from advancing.

Sadly, the democrats lost control of the Senate by losing Morris, Brungardt, and Owens, 3 KEY leadership positions held by democrats masquerading as republicans for years. Hey, come to think of it... that don't sound too bad after all... I kinda like it. Maybe now Kansans can take a stnad for Kansas.

If you think they are Democrats then you don't know what a democrat is or what progressive policy actually is.

Ya know your comment made me mad at first SalinaSenior.. and then I thought about it and you are RIGHT... It is not fair to compare the likes of Morris, Owens, Vratil, Marshall, Brungardt, Emler, and other liberal hacks in the republican party with the likes of JFK or Ronald Reagan... They as Democrats were infinitely more Conservative and Constitutional-minded than any of these RINOs ever dreamt of being... Reagan said it best, "I was a Democrat and I haven't changed... the Republican Party has changed." I apologize to the Conservatives in the Democrat Party... and there are some... for they are much more noble than those who lie about who they are. Thanks SalinaSenior for making me think that through... good point.
