Police say keys were left in the van.

A Salina couple's mini van is stolen.

Police are investigating a theft after 36-year old Angela Roger and 47-year old Dennis Barrett contacted SPD to report a stolen vehicle.

Police say the 2004 Pontiac Montana van was last seen parked in the 800 block of N. Broadway on Monday afternoon.

After a search around his property - Barrett told officers a white unknown brand name clothes washing machine was also missing.

Police say the keys had been left in the vehicle.

Total loss is listed at $6,075.

Another case of idiots who are irresponsible and leave keys in vehicles while parked on streets. Especially in a van which would give someone a great tool for a theft vehicle.

You got it the more we see this happening the more you wonder why these people continue to do this. With crime as high as it is in Salina you would think people would be more careful.
