Girl Scout representatives will be in communities and schools across Kansas in the next several weeks to share the benefits of scouting and make registration convenient for parents.

Scout volunteers and/or staff will be available to answer questions and assist with registration. Girls and adults may register for the upcoming year for only $12; financial assistance is available.

Thursday, August 23rd, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland will host a Sign Up for Scouting party from 6:30-8:30 pm at Lakewood Middle School. Parents can feed the entire family for only $1 a person which includes hot dog, chips and a drink.

Adults are also encouraged to Sign Up for Scouting - - as volunteers. “Girl Scout programs are only made possible by the efforts of our amazing volunteers,” said Shelly Chenoweth, Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland CEO. “We’re always looking for individuals who are willing to give a little—or a lot—of their time to help form future leaders. We have so many options to get involved.”
