A Democratic primary for a seat in the Kansas House has been decided by the flip of a coin.
The August 7th election for the 65th District seat in northeastern Kansas ended in a tie between Melody Saxton and Tom Brungardt, both of Junction City and both with 206 votes.
Saxton won a coin flip Friday by the State Board of Canvassers as the results of the primaries were certified. She'll face Republican Allan Rothlisberg in November.
