Man Hurt In Saturday Night Motorcycle Crash

A Marion man is hurt in a motorcycle crash near McPherson late Saturday night.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 51-year-old Lyle Leppke of Marion was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle east on U.S. 56 Highway. The driver of a car on the I 135 ramp to U.S. 56 did not see the motorcycle, and pulled out. The motorcycle hit the car on the driver’s side front fender.
Leppke, who was wearing a helmet, was hurt. He was transported to the hospital in McPherson.
The crash happened just after 11:00 Saturday night.

I hope Mr. Leppke is OK. Can't understand why his loud pipes did not prevent this accident.

It was dark and on the other hand the driver might have been texting, no way to know for sure.

Some bikes do not have loud pipes.
