Police say the Kawasaki Custom 900 is valued at $7,300 while the Kawasaki Ninja is valued at $11,900.

A couple of stolen motorcycles are recovered by police.

Police continue to follow leads in an investigation that began last Friday after 5 Kawasaki motorcycles were taken from Womack Sunshine Auto at 632 S. Ohio.

Police found a 2011 Kawasaki Custom 900 parked outside a north Salina residence and a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja left abandoned in the 900 block of N. 13th.

Lt. Scott Siemsen tells KSAL News that both bikes were found in good condition.

Police say burglars cut a small hole in a north side wall of Womack and stole 5 Kawasaki motorcycles.

Total loss and damage was listed at $52,280.

can't believe these places don't have an alarm system, especially with all the break-ins in this town

It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Womack is nothing but a ripoff joint.

You don't have to do business with them. No business deserves to have their merchandise stolen. If its not yours, keep your hands off. I don't know how a Ninja can be quiet, but I wouldn't be out that time of night to hear them. What did they think they would do with them, get a tag and ride them?

I love when the most ignorant of salinans get on ksallink to throw crap at each other like monkeys in a zoo. Bigo I don't ever remember anyone saying anything about a sawzall, could've been an oxy-acetaline torch, you seem to know more about the case than others. And to the thieves who commited the crime, would have been much easier to park a Uhaul on Prescott and steal the bikes in broad daylight because they leave the keys in the ignitions.

conlee don't be stupid, there are plenty of place to ride without a tag or license for that matter, if you know where.

Yea great police work when they are parked out in the open close to the police station. Only thing better would have been to park them next to that fine art outside the front doors of the police station.

I agree with Iamgonnagetu-there is nothing about good police work----RedNeckWatch must be new in town-----people are coming in from other cities to rip off stuff in Salina--what's up with that---so good police work - I don't think so. I wouldn't leave a bicycle outside in this town----crime is high in Salina---and it's not going to get any better unless the PD gets on the stick.

THe "story" you heard is just that, a story. YOu need to get some new peoples who have some inside info like me. But I doubt it will stop you griping because that is your nature. SPD is a great organization, and always has been. Compare its results to other departments, bigger and smaller, around the country. Facts don't ;ie. Only people lie. God bless the officers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe.

Wrong again redneck. The police department at one time had a good reputation here but since this chief Hill took the reins that has gone down the tubes. You told us once you were convicted of crimes so I so not know what your agenda is with your praising two departments of lwa enforcement that need an extreme makeover. Facts do not lie but you are not giving any validated facts so your facts do lie.

Hahahahaha ahahahahah, have not been wrong yet. If SPD were as bad as you claim, we would here more people complaining. The only people I ever hear complain are criminals, relatives of criminals, disgruntled employees, wannabees, former employees canned for incompetence or corruption. The rest of us nearly 50,000 citizens are happy to have such great law enforcement departments in Saline County, each of which is under expert and well respected leadership.

There are many people complaining if you would get out of your dump trailer and visit with people you would know that. But in reality you do you just like to take the opposite view of point on everything to stir the pot up.

I don't hang out under the bridge by the river, so I am sure we are socializing in different crowds. I prefer the educated crowd and you prefer the trash fish crowd. Educated voters favor economic equality for everyone to increase the tax base and hate haters because it is bad for business. What do the trash fish crowd favor?
