Salina Candidate Issues "Community Alert"
KSAL Staff - Fri 12:42 PM 09/28/2012
The Democrat candidate running for a seat in the Kansas House of Representatives 69th District Friday issued what he calls a "Community Alert" about his Republican opponent.
Democrat Gary Swartzendruber is running against Republican J.R. Claeys for the seat.
At a media conference Friday morning Swartzendruber said that the community needs to be aware that Claeys was "busted by the Federal Trade Commission and ordered to cease and desist his Washington DC Tested Green business fraud". He says the FTC reported that the fraud included false advertising, marketings, and sale of environmental certifications at www.testedgreen.com from February of 2009 through April 2010.
According to Swartzendruber, Claeys "managed to swindle 139 actual victims before the FTC shut him down" by selling worthless certificates falsely indicating that the purchasing businesses were using green practices.
Swartzendruber went on to say that Claeys does not take responsibility for the fraud, "instead blaming a partner who he refuses to name".
Swartzendruber challenges Claeys to among other things, name the "mystery partner".

Hmm, Claeys now wants to represent us in Topeka. Did he ever pay the businesses back or did he keep the money and run?

Claeys claims he had a partner in the business and that his partner committed the fraud, but he refuses to identify the fraudster. Claeys is taking a clue from the Romney/Ryan ticket -- make a claim but refuse to back it up with specific information. We don't have to kick this bum out. We can keep him from ever getting to Topeka by voting him down in November.

It took President Obama 3 years to produce a birth certificate. Mr. Claeys should get at least the same amount of time to name his partner. So, until then we should all just be quiet.

He who throws the first turd most likely has the most B.S. in his past. Time for new representation in Topeka. Time for Gary to find new employment.

Victory you know nothing about what you say on here. You are a trouble making racist that spents most of your time at Tomas Park or making up id's to have agreement to the vile you spread. Your Id was booted from here and now you reevented your main character as victory 12 your favorite saying as redneckwatch was victory. There is not much we can do by ourselves but KSAL can and will after we all complain which happened the last time.

Google these words and see what you come up with: Fraud, Claeys, FTC, Tested Green. Alert is enough for me.... http://www.dailyfinance.com/2011/01/12/tested-green-certification-scam-busted-by-ftc/

Good info @insideout. Certainly debunks arguments being advanced by Claeys and his supporters. He certainly won't be any better in Topeka.

Mr Claeys blew it. Had to go and act like a Democrat. Should have kept quiet. The 3 years statement is now retracted/void! Will not allow him to spin up a story. Man up Mr. Claeys!
