Salina goes pink for breast cancer awareness.
Race fans are in for a treat in Downtown Salina on Thursday evening.
The 2nd Annual Heel-A-Thon steps off in downtown with a 100-yard dash for fun - and to raise money in the fight against breast cancer.
Penny Bettles with Salina Downtown Inc. stopped into the KSAL Morning News Wednesday to let listeners know about the fundraiser, "Registration is $12 and we'll hand you a free T-shirt too," she said.
Bettles says there will be plenty of prizes to hand out from a list of sponsors.
Martinelli's will hand out a gift card for the "Prettiest in Pink," while Dillards is giving away a free Wacoal bra for the runner with the "Highest Heels."
