A motorcycle rider is hurt in a crash Wednesday night in Northwest Kansas.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Harold Richie of Stockton was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle east on a rural highway.

Richie lost control and entered the ditch. The motorcycle slid on its side in the ditch, ejecting him.

Richie, who was not wearing a helmet, was hurt. He was transported to the hospital in Phillipsburg.
