If Jason Gleason is convicted on all 14 crimes, he could face more than 300 years behind bars.
A man accused of firing shot sat a Kansas State Trooper following a chase appears in court. Jason Gleason appeared on closed circuit television in front of Saline County judge early Friday morning.
He was formally charged with 14 counts including attempted first and second degree murder in Tuesday night's chase and shootout that left a KHP trooper, woman, and child injured.
Tuesday, a trooper attempted to stop an SUV suspected in a bank robbery in Chase.
Gleason was allegedly behind the wheel and fled from troopers traveling east on K-4 towards Gypsum in southeast Saline County.
The vehicle eventually wrecked and that's when authorities say Gleason got into shootout with KHP trooper Ryan Wolting.
Wolting was hit by broken glass, and a woman and child were also injured.
If Gleason is convicted on all 14 crimes, he could face more than 300 years behind bars.
He is being held on a $1 million bond and will be back in court Monday morning.

300 years should do it. I read in the paper that they had 20 witness's see him when he robbed the bank. Being 6'5" tall and wearing a hoodie would make him stand out in Chase.

Why won't you report that the woman and child were shot by the trooper? Isn't that newsworthy? Lets get the whole story here.

Gee whiz I am gone for a couple of days and all heck breaks out. Victory2012 I was correct evidently in my complain against you as Iamgonna has found out. Are you going to try it with my name next?? Hope you do because I will not call KSAL but I will go down there and demand you be taken off of here. When people like you start pulling this type of thing KSAL has got to change their procedures for letting people register and abuse the system. There definately is something wrong when someone does this for attention.
