voting yes against this will be a joy after the city commissioners tried to ram rod this down our throats. Now I cannot wait for the commissioners who voted for this to come up for re-election so we can send them down the road also.

First things first getting rid of the ordinance and Janice Norlin from obtaining office. NORLIN used this ordinance to benefit her political ambitions by getting her name in front of people who never knew she existed.

Since "We The People" wont voluntarily bend over and take it up the ask me how I know... They are now trying to tie our hands so they can attempt to beat it into US, just as they did with obamacare. Simply stated another way, "We The People" are again being assaulted by a microscopic group of wealthy freaks who wont be satisfied until everyday is a gaypride parade....

I don't agree with the lifestyle others choose, but don't condemn them for it. What I do not like about this ordinance is the fact that it just gives them another leg up on the rest of the community. Unless they are going to make people register as a gay/transgender, there is no way to keep people from using this at will to get what they want. Anyone can claim to be gay, but there is nothing to hold them accountable. Gays are covered under all other discrimination laws out there, they don't need a special one allowing them to walk all over anyone who offends them!

The homosexuals should be covered under disability as homosexuality is a birth defect. Google "Amygdala". Just look it up. I know it isn't what they want to hear, but it looks like the studies are showing the amygdala to be what determines if you will be homosexual or not. I don't care if you're gay, have a good time, but don't ask for special treatment and want a parade to show us how special you are.

Regardless of if ordinance get repealed or not, full gay rights are inevitable. Gallup poll shows that majority supports full rights for gay people. Also almost 70% of people who are 34 years old or younger supports full rights for gay people. It's only matter of time that full rights will be achieved. This progress will never be stopped!

The day will come when one can sit at McDonalds having coffee, enjoying his/her special rights. The person next to them can rejoice about his/her different, yet still very special rights. The person behind the counter can share his/her experience about having new found special rights. And the person in the drive thru, the guy just entering through the door, the lady leaving for work, everyone.....you all have special rights. You deserve special rights. Your rights are more special than mine.....or are my special right more special than yours. Maybe that guy walking in, maybe his rights are the most special. At what point do all of our special rights cause us to be not so special anymore. At what point do things fail to work properly because of all the special rights. At some point one cannot walk across the street without violating your special rights.

Face reality, normal is just that....normal. If your not normal then deal with it. If you think you need a special right then you need to re-read the statement above. You need a special right so the state will make me rent a house to you. Be very careful, that same state will someday make you observe MY rights even though you don't want to.

My future rights will dictate to YOU that unless you attend church on Sunday and sit on the front pew you cannot rent a house from me. My rights will dictate to you that unless you serve 4 years in the military you cannot live in my new sub-division. The point is this, when has it finally gone to far?

Aurora you are so wrong on your comment on the enforcers statement. People are already upset because of this ordinance and some are talking reprocussions. But the biggest thing I see is Norlin tossing you gays under the bus for her political ambitions.

@ Troy, gay is normal...what's not normal is that they are forced to stay in closet in fear of violence. As far as I know, gay have over 1000 less rights than straight. What special rights do you speak of?

@ Iamgonnagetyou, isn't that funny that when a person support full gay rights, this person is automatically assumed to be gay?!?

@ Iamgonnagetyou, back in fifties, people say the same thing about repercussions against blacks and they said exactly the same thing that blacks and others will get so-called special rights if they get full equal rights.
