Salina Bombers Sign Former Husker

The Salina Bombers are holding open tryouts for players, and for the dance and cheer team this Saturday at the Bicentennial Center. Dance and cheer tryouts are at 8:30, while player tryouts are at 1:30.
Salina's indoor football team signs two more players.
According to a release from the team, the Bombers have signed Kenny Wilson and Chris Pugh.
Wilson is a speedster, who played in high school at Liberal. He also ran track, and holds the Kansas high school state record in Class 5A in the 200 meter dash. After high school he went to Butler Community College for two years, before then finishing his collegiate career at the University of Nebraska. Wilson has played professional indoor football for the Fairbanks Grizzlies, Nebraska Danger, and most recently the Wichita Wild.
Pugh is a defensive lineman, who played at Southern Choctaw High School in Silas, Alabama. After high school he played at Coahoma Junior College in Clarkson, Mississippi. His final two years of collegiate football were spent at Louisiana Tech. He is currently a member of the United State Army and has played professionally the last two seasons with the Junction City Force.
Wilson and Pugh join former Kansas Jayhawks Eric Washington and Raymond Brown, and former Salina Sacred Heart and Washburn quarterback Dane Simoneau on the Bombers, who will play their first indoor season in Salina in the Spring of 2013.
