A man is hurt in a single-vehicle crash in Salina Wednesday afternoon.

Salina Master Police Officer Rande Repp tells KSAL News that a man driving a car east on Crawford Street suffered a medical condition.

According to Repp, the driver lost control of the car, jumped a curb, and drove on the sidewalk for about a block. The car stopped after crashing into a power pole at the corner of Crawford and 11th Street, snapping it in half.

EMS transported the driver to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His name was not immediately available.

The crash happened at about 3:15 Wednesday afternoon.

Repp adds that it's fortunate there was no one walking on the sidewalk, or there was no one on a bicycle at the corner, or things could have been much worse.
