Tuesday Basketball Preview: Full Slate of County Games

A full slate of high school basketball is set for tonight.

Salina Central visits Maize for an AVCTL Division I match-up. The Mustangs are coming off a pair of wins over the Campus Colts on Friday. Both Central squads have won four straight games. Maize will be playing its third game in six days after competing in the AVCTL/City League Challenge over the weekend. Mike Hammett will have the call with pregame coverage at 5:50 and tip-off at 6 on SportsRadio 1150 KSAL.

Salina South travels to Campus for another AVCTL Division I game. The Cougars are playing for the third time in six days. The girls bounced back from Thursday's loss to Maize with a come-from-behind win on Saturday over Wichita East in the AVCTL/City League Challenge. The South boys have lost four straight and are 1-6 on the season, falling 87-47 to the Blue Aces on Saturday. Justin Dean will have all the action beginning with the pregame show at 5:50 and tip at 6 on Y93.7.

Sacred Heart resumes NCAA play tonight, visiting Republic County. The girls game features a Knight team looking to snap a losing skid against an undefeated Buffalo squad. The boys game features two teams on a roll, as both squads lost their two games early in the season and have won out since. Adam Coulter will have the call with pregame coverage at 5:50 and tip at 6 on Classic Hits 104.9.

Southeast of Saline opened 2013 with a pair of wins on Friday, and will try to keep the winning ways rolling tonight against Russell. The Bronco girls are one of the top teams in the NCAA, while the boys have struggled early this season.

Ell-Saline faces Berean Academy in a Heart of America League match-up. The Cardinals split on Friday night, with the girls knocking off Sedgwick while the boys lost. The Berean Academy girls enter the night 7-1, while the boys are 4-3.
