"Kingdom Jam" takes aim at fighting Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
CrossRoads Church in Salina is hosting a benefit concert to raise awareness - and funds in the fight against SIDS.
Pastor Ron Bowell stopped by the KSAL Morning News this week with a look at the concert that will take place on Sunday afternoon.
Pastor Bowell's family has been touched by SIDS - after his young grandson died from the mysterious disease, "It's a silent killer," he said.
"They go to sleep and they just never wake up."
Pastor Bowell tells KSAL News that they'll have informational videos about SIDS on Sunday and contemporary Christian music.
Ten bands will grace the stage to share a message of hope: King's Sword, Higher Praise, Main Event, CrossRoads Band, NorthPoint, Anthem, Dry Creek Revival, Paul Draper, LifeHouse Band, E-2:8.
Kingdom Jam kicks off Sunday, January 13th at 1:30pm - a late entry will provide walk in music before the event starts. The jam should end about 5:30pm.
Pastor Bowell adds that admission is free with an opportunity to give an offering to SIDS research.
CrossRoads Church is located at 1125 W. South Street, just south of Ace Hardware in Salina.
