The Salina South Cougars topped the Abilene Cowboys 63 to 54 in the opening round of the boys side of the bracket.

In the S.I.T's the Salina South Cougars topped the Abilene Cowboys 63 to 54 in the opening round of the boys side of the bracket. Justin Stonebreaker led the way for the Cougars with 20 points while Wilson and Harms each threw down 16 for the Cowboys.

The S.I.T's will be back in action tonight with the girls games taking place at the Bicentennial Center. Concordia will play Sacred Heart at 3 pm in the consolation bracket and Smoky Valley will take on Clay Center in the 4:45 consolation bracket game. You can catch those two contests on KSAL.com. Then Abilene will play the lady Cougars of Salina South at 6:30 and Andover will take on Salina Central at 8:15. Both of those games can be heard on KSAL 1150.
