Man Hurt in Crash Near Salina

The crash happened Saturday evening east of Salina.
A Clay Center man is hurt in a single-vehicle crash east of Salina Saturday evening.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Kelly James was driving a pickup truck, headed north on Niles Road.
For an unknown reason the truck left the road, continued north through a ditch, struck a farm fence, and came to rest in a pasture.
James, who was buckled up, was hurt. He was transported to the hospital in Salina.
The crash happened at around 5:30 Saturday evening on Niles Road, just north of the intersection with Interstate 70.
