Record Warmth Gives Way to Snow

Snow began falling Tuesday evening.

Snow began falling Tuesday evening.

After a day of record warmth on Monday, cold and snow moved into Kansas on Tuesday.

Light Snow began to fall around the area Tuesday evening. There was not major accumulation, but the snow that did accumulate did make for some slick roads. The snow also prompted some area schools to alter their schedules for Wednesday.

Russell 3 inches

Lincoln 3 inches

Ellsworth 3 inches

Clay Center 2 inches

Salina 1 inch

The snow will be out of the area by later Wednesday morning. It will be cold and blustery for the next couple of days.
