The Southeast of Saline girls lost Tuesday’s game to Ellsworth 47-34. Southeast of Saline grabbed a 24-17 halftime lead, and scored the first bucket of the second half as well. However, Ellsworth mounted a 25-0 run to storm in front and never looked back. The Trojans didn’t score again until 5:30 remained in the fourth quarter. Delani White had 11 points to lead Southeast. The Trojans are 10-8 and 5-5 in the NCAA and are at Russell on Friday.
The Southeast of Saline boys cruised to a 71-60 win over Ellsworth on Tuesday. Southeast led 16-7 after a quarter and pushed it to 28-17 at halftime. Southeast continued to pull away in the third quarter, going up 45-27 before a high-scoring fourth quarter. Ellsworth outscored Southeast 33-26 in the final frame, but the Trojans held on for the win. Easton Montgomery scored 20 points while Ben Stutterheim chipped in 14, Sam Koch 11 and Kendal Peterson 10. The Trojans are 10-8 and 5-5 in the NCAA. They visit Russell on Friday.
