The Saline County Sheriff's Office makes an arrest in connection with Monday afternoon's jail escape.
Detective Jim Hughes tells KSAL News that 28-year-old Eric Lee Terry was arrested on an unrelated warrant Thursday evening. Through investigation it was determined that Terry was involved with Antonio Brown's escape.
Specific details of Terry's involvement were not released. He is facing charges that could include obstructing the apprehension of a felon.
Hughes says the investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible.
Antonio Brown walked out of a holding cell at the Saline County Jail Monday after it was inadvertently opened. He then walked out of an open garage door after the departure of a transport vehicle.
The escape happened on the eve of his scheduled sentencing date.
Back on January 9th Brown pleaded no contest in Saline County District court to first degree murder during commission of a felony. He also pleaded no contest to two counts of child abuse in connection with the 2011 beating death of 14-month-old Clayden Lee Urbanek.
He turned himself into U.S. Marshals in Wichita on Wednesday night, and was brought back to Salina early Thursday morning.
