Brother Arrested In Connection With Salina Jail Escape
KSAL Staff - Mon 03:50 PM 02/18/2013
Joshua Brown is escapee Antonio Brown's brother. He could face felony charges that include obstructing apprehension or prosecution.
Another arrest is made in connection with last week's escape from the Saline County Jail.
Detective Jim Hughes from the Saline County Sheriff's Office tells KSAL News that 30-year-old Joshua Danny Brown was arrested in Wichita at 11:15 Monday morning. He was arrested by Saline County deputies with the cooperation of the Wichita Police Department.
Joshua Brown is escapee Antonio Brown's brother. He could face felony charges that include obstructing apprehension or prosecution.
Hughes says that more arrests in the case are still possible.
On Thursday evening 28-year-old Eric Lee Terry was arrested on an unrelated warrant. Through investigation it was determined that Terry was involved with Antonio Brown's escape.
Antonio Brown walked out of a holding cell at the Saline County Jail last Monday after it was inadvertently opened. He then walked out of an open garage door after the departure of a transport vehicle.
The escape happened on the eve of his scheduled sentencing date.
Back on January 9th Brown pleaded no contest in Saline County District court to first degree murder during commission of a felony. He also pleaded no contest to two counts of child abuse in connection with the 2011 beating death of 14-month-old Clayden Lee Urbanek.
He turned himself into U.S. Marshals in Wichita on Wednesday night, and was brought back to Salina early Thursday morning.

Well its not the spd it is the sheriff's Department. I agree why is not the deputy that opened the door not in jail being charged? He also helped him with the escape as much as the other guys. Sorry but a mistake does not compute. The deputy could have been paid to open the door who knows? We never will that is for sure the sheriff will cover this up like he has done on other matters.

because it has already been determined it was human error...I'm sure that issue has been taken care of...also the garage door...another security issue there also had to be addressed..as far as his brother now being arrested..I don't know the whole story there but your brother shows up needing help..what would you do at a moment's notice...at this point I am feeling sorry for the guy

He has more problems. That 14 year old kid that broke up everything beat the heck out of one of his deputies. The sheriff cannot only keep people from escaping he has no control over at the juvi center. Your time has come sheriff. Your chouce resign or recall.
