Kansas Officials Have New Storm Worries With Night

Gov. Sam Brownback told reporters during a teleconference briefing that it's easy for people think they can handle clearing away snow.
After spending hours advising Kansans not to travel during the winter storm, state officials are warning them to be cautious about clearing the snow.
State Emergency Management Director and Maj. Gen. Lee Tafanelli said Thursday the concern is that people will overexert themselves, have slip-and-fall accidents or suffer frostbite.
Gov. Sam Brownback told reporters during a teleconference briefing that it's easy for people think they can handle clearing away snow. But he says it may be better for them to ask for help or let the snow melt.
He said if Kansans overdo it, they can get in trouble and have a hard time getting assistance because of weather conditions.

Not to mention if you are out of shape, people have been known to have heart attacks from shoveling snow.

Are they changing the law which requires one to clear snow and ice from your walkways?
