Kansas Sets Record for Concealed Carry Permits

For a second straight month, Kansas has set a record for the number of applications for concealed carry handgun permits.
The Kansas Attorney General's Office reported Monday that it had received 3,573 applications during February. That beats the one-month record of 3,167 applications set in January.
The Wichita Eagle reports that before January, the record monthly total since the state began issuing permits in 2007 was 1,651 applications in March 2012.
The state is on pace to easily break the record for total applications in a fiscal year. Through the first seven months of fiscal year 2013, the state has received 11,426 applications, just shy of the 12,408 applications submitted in all of fiscal year 2012.
As of March 153,180 Kansans have an active concealed carry permit.

The people of Kansas are smart enought to see what is coming down the pike and they are arming themselves. I am also sure other states have population doing the same. The federal and state governments can play their games but it looks like one day soon they will be over thrown by the citizens.

You don't have to be a concealed carry permit holder to arm yourself. It just means that I can be armed and you don't necessarily know it. I am pretty sure if the citizens would ever decide to stand up and go against the governement and our military, we as citizens are screwed.

If you actually believe that our military is not armed better then the citizens that have at best a 50 cal. rifle legally, I hate to tell you that handguns and rifles don't stand a chance against an F22 or a tank. Its sad but true. The Taliban is better armed than us because the US military gave them the weapons during the Afgan/USSR war.

Do you live in an isolated area? There are people in our country that have tanks and all the military weapons and I would venture to say and f22 or two. If the Taliban is better armed why would not the citizens of the US also be armed as well?

I also believe that there are many groups within our country that are heavy armed. I guess when you live in the land of oz like holycow you think everything is black and white.
