Man Allegedly Attacks Girlfriend With Chainsaw

Police allege that he had a running chainsaw as he chased the woman.
Wichita police arrested a 30-year-old man for chasing his girlfriend with a running chainsaw and firing shots at a group of people.
It happened Saturday night in the 2300 block of South Washington and 2000 block of South Topeka.
Police say the 30-year-old man had a argument with a 17-year-old man in the 2000 block of South Topeka.
According to witnesses, he threatened to shoot the 17-year-old.
He left the home after firing three to eight shots into the air.
As officers were responding to that case, the 30-year-old showed up at his 36-year-old girlfriend's house in the 2300 block of South Washington.
She had a cell phone he wanted.
He then ended up fighting her and pushed her to a couch.
"Apparently, sitting next to the couch was a chainsaw. He reached down, grabbed the saw and started it. He began to chase her into her bedroom with the saw," said Lt. Doug Nolte, Wichita Police Department.
The woman was able to contact police.
She wasn't hurt. A 10-year-old boy, who was also inside the home, was not injured.
Police say the man was taken to the Sedgwick County Jail and booked for aggravated assault, domestic violence and battery.

I always like to keep my chainsaw on the couch all gassed up & ready to go. Very handy that way.. Ha.. On a serious note, that poor kid! Watching a scary movie is bad enough, but this would scar a child forever. Hope this nut job gets THE CHAIR!

5.0, that is what I was thinking. Chainsaw on the couch? I also feel horrible for the child. Sounds like this nut needs to be locked up with the key thrown away!
