Ottawa County Commissioners issued a ban prohibiting unauthorized burning within the county confines.
Dry conditions have prompted an area county to issue a burn ban.
Ottawa County Commissioners issued a ban prohibiting unauthorized burning within the county confines. The burn ban prohibits outdoor burning without a written permit by the Fire Chief or Assistant Fire Chief of the burn site jurisdiction, the Sheriff of Ottawa County, or the Undersheriff of Ottawa County.
County officials will continue to monitor the situation,and when adequate moisture is received the burn ban will be lifted.
