The state's only wind energy school at Cloud County Community College is struggling to keep up with high demand for turbine technicians.

But the school in Concordia has no textbooks for the courses, and many of the students get jobs before they finish the program.

Cloud County Community College instructor Lucas Chavey is one of three teachers in the Wind Energy Technology program. It's one of 30 such wind energy programs in the country, but the only one in

Kansas.
