Salina to Host Federal Lawmakers

The Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Salina, Saline County, Salina Airport Authority and K-State Salina are hosting a Salina - Saline County Congressional Day Luncheon with Congressman Tim Huelskamp and U.S. Senator Pat Roberts on Friday, February 24th.
Prior to the luncheon, local and Washington DC staff of Congressman Huelskamp and Senator Roberts will receive a tour of the County and discuss pertinent Federal issues facing Salina.
The Congressman and Senator will receive an executive briefing and summary of the projects prior to the luncheon that is open to the public. A news conference will follow.
Congressman Huelskamp was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2010. He represents the First Congressional District of Kansas also known as the “Big First.”
For 16 years, Senator Roberts represented the “Big First District.” In 1996 he was elected to the U.S. Senate and is currently serving his third term.
