The local newspaper in Salina is pretty balanced I think. The new publisher will give the know-it-alls on KINA a new whipping boy.

I hope he does not crawl into bed with all the officials and well to do in Salina like Tom Bell did. We need some good investigated reporting from the journal.

Iamgonnagetu: You are so right kiddo!!! Let's hope and pray he is an objective, impartial person with some stones to tell the city/county big boys to stay out of his business and let him do his job!!! I would love to see some GOOD reporting for a change on some of the issues.

Get a Life: are you serious? You make statements based purely on his looks? Please tone it down and stick to facts. I think Tom Bell's heritage will reflect creating/keeping the 333 line which allows most negative people to make mostly negative and sometimes baseless comments about local leaders. I think the paper's work and position on the Expo Center vote in 06 is evidence that iamgonnagetu and getumgranny aren't accurate. Clearly the paper had a lot to do with defeating it.
