Well citizens, here we go again!!! I guess I don't get it, I know the police cannot be every where all the time, however, the burglaries, vandalism, break-ins etc... are horribly out of control in our community!!! Wonder what will happen when a good citizen gets their hands on one of these punks that are committing these crimes?! I hope they break into the wrong house--SOON--and someone beats the crap out of them!!! Be pretty hard to steal stuff with 2 broken arms and 2 broken legs!!

Hmmmm, sounds like an inside job to me... No signs of forced entry? Someone knew a Royal Crown bag was filled with money... OFFICERS... look at the residents as suspects first...

The problem extends from the ineffectiveness of law enforcement into the court system. You then get to Ellen Mitchell who plead bargins all the serious crimes but sticks it to someone with a misdeamer. She is running for office again so she can pat these thrives on the butt after they get off and are leaving the court room. These people know how to beat the system if caught. This point is very evident in the 2 murderers that got off with light sentences but the white guy that murdered got the book thrown at him. I call this reverse discrimination. Murder is murder and the sentences should be the same for all. Sadly until we get a new sheriff and police chief and clean up both departments crime will continue to flourish especially as the economy gets worst.

You got that gets we the taxpayers can get rid of the shersiff a the voting Booth. A little harder with the chief that has jason in his back pocket. Gage won't fire him because he doesn't have the yogi's to do so. We need a new city manager that is not afraid to be aggressive.

I agree with Who Cares------I think knowing EXACTLY 71 games missing was odd - and also the money!!! Really, but like its been said unless it is something the officers/police department/city of Salina can make big bucks at forget it---your home free.
