Sometime between Jan 1st, and April 27th?? That is a pretty big time frame... And all valued at $19,000??? I smell a scam going on here... Why would you have $19,000 worth of jewelry, but be living in an apartment?

Hummmm. If I had $19,000 worth of jewelry it would be at the bank in a safety deposit box or in a bolted down safe.

It's not your typical apartment, they are nice condo's and you should be able to have whatever you want in your house, the thieves are to blame not her.

If you are not using jewerly for 5 months and it is just laying around I guess it should be stolen so somebody will use it. No mention of a breaking so must be an inside job. An $19000 give me a break. Possibly could have been a white man wearing a ball cap and driving a quad with tanks on it pulling a trailer with barrels of diesel fuel.

What does it matter where she lives, or that she live in an apartment to have that much jewelry? Maybe she used to have a huge house on the hill, but since it is just her left, why would she need something so big? That's just more to take care of. And I agree that it sounds like an inside job, but it is stealing none the less. The person should be caught. Little old ladies(I'm assuming she is, doesn't say) have jewelry collected over time, and they like to keep their "treasures" close. At the price of gold right now, if they were large pieces of pure gold they would be worth a lot without it having to be a lot of jewelry. Quit blaming this person and point the finger to the thief!!!

@ ASShosh...."Quit blaming this person and point the finger to the thief!!!" Ever think this "sweet little old lady" is innocent? Old Bags and Old farts cause just as much trouble as anyone else... Just ask your mom....

@WhoCares - why would you attack me? Taking my name and making is a mockery? All I said was that people were jumping to conclusions and needed to maybe look at this as this lady really is innocent, and that it doesn't matter where you live you could have money. I know for a fact that the people living at Drury place are well off considering their rent is $1,200/month for a 1 bedroom apartment. Some apartments are more expensive than you'd think. I said I agree that it sounds like an inside job, but maybe not the old lady. And I know that there are some rotten old people out there looking for ways to take advantage of the system, but not as many as you make it out to be. The few bad ones give a bad name to the rest. OH, and my mom is only 50, hardly a little old lady!
