Lawyers for former cadets who sued a Kansas military school over alleged abuse now say the school recently ordered all students to surrender their phones for a review of photos and videos.

Documents filed Monday in federal court claim officials at St. John's Military School in Salina deleted hundreds of videos and photos related to the school from cellphones.

The court filing says one of the videos showed a staff member abusing a student, while some others showed abuse of former cadets who have filed suit.

In an emailed statement Monday, the school denied destroying evidence related to the litigation. It says a longstanding policy prohibits students from taking pictures or recording videos - and that it recently erased a video in accordance with that policy.

Do they still have the phones? I will be happy to recover all of the images, videos, and anything else that is on them for them. It is not hard and I have the programs to do it, and to show when it was first taken time date stamps and all details . Just because you delete it dose not mean it is gone, trust me, I use the same software that the FBI, CIA uses if you want them back let me know, I recover data for people.MJ

And they claim they have nothing at all to hide, funny that they are acting so guilty. I can't wait for them to be shut down, it is just a matter of time. Say goodbye to Salinas abuse academy, it. Should have been closed over the last sex abuse scandals years ago. My Aunt went to school with the big shots wife, she told her and me a lot of what goes on and has gone on over the years.

How convenient that they decided to act upon that rule now! Seems to me that they have a lot to hide and are doing their best to hide it. It is really sad the things that go on in that school. I have always heard stories, but never had anything solid to go to the authorities about. Just things heard "in the wind" so to speak. I hope they pay out to the students who suffered. It won't erase what happened, but maybe then they can get some counseling to help deal with the anger/hurt before they start abusing someone else.

Hmmmmmm, wonder how often they look at the cadets phones? If this has always been policy, this should have been a regular practice, suspicious!!!
