Clay County Co-Defendants Plead No Contest to Medicaid Fraud

53-year-old Donald Peterson and 49-year-old April “Michelle” Hockett are accused of conspiring to defraud the Medicaid system by submitting personal care attendant timesheets for services not actually provided.
Two people from Clay Center plead no contest to Medicaid fraud related charges.
According to Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt, 49-year-old April "Michelle" Hockett and 53-year-old Donald Peterson conspired to defraud the Medicaid system by submitting personal care attendant timesheets for services not actually provided.
Hockett pled no contest to making a false claim to the Medicaid program, and theft. Peterson pled no contest to conspiracy to commit unlawful acts relating to the Medicaid program and conspiracy to commit theft.
As part of the plea, the defendants together must pay restitution in the amount of $26,418.31 to the Kansas Medicaid Program.
Sentencing is set for June 5 at 9 a.m.

Come on people! There is a better way to steal money from the hard working people in this country. Just vote more Demacrats in and they'll steal the money for you and send it out to all the deadbeats.

They do look like a couple dandies!! That's terrible of them, to be stealing money from an already strained budget?! I hope they dig into this further and arrest any others that are scamming the system like this!!
