Over $75K Stolen from Roselawn, Arrest Made

Police say the former office employee also purchased personal items by writing company checks to herself.
An investigation that began in January leads to the arrest of a Salina woman.
38-year-old Tonya Stone was arrested on Thursday on theft charges.
Salina Police spokesman Lt. Scott Siemsen tells KSAL News that Stone, a former employee at Roselawn Morturary and Memorial Park, 1920 E Crawford, allegedly failed to make deposits on cash payments made to the business between January of 2010 to January of 2012.
Police say the former office employee also purchased personal items by writing company checks to herself.
Total loss is estimated at over $75,000.

I just don't understand some people! They really believe they'll never get caught?! About 2 years ago, the girl that took my place in 2006 at a church, was stealing since she had started the job!!! NO MATTER how bad things get for our family/spouse, I could NEVER do these things!!!

Oh man I can't wait til roselawn has Complety new owners. Bob you think your getting away with everything because your b!t(h wife bails you out of everything and comes up with the lie that will tak someone down she cares nothing for and clears roselawn. Not saying she didn't take the money but what I'm saying is the whole place is owned by spineless crupt people who think the world owes them. I wouldn't be surprised if bob told her to wright herself them checks to pay herself because he forgot to make her paycheck because he doesn't maintain his diabetes and his memory is worthless. Then his wife found out got pissed off at him for being lazy he covered it up by saying she stole the money . May not be the case this time but this wouldn't have been the first time bob has done exactly that to his employee.

Just because I mowed the lawn for your for years doesn't mean I didnt over hear all your mistakes come right out of your mouth. You take care of your employees and the customers who you need to pay bills and I wouldn't have opened this can of worms

It really saddens me that Bob has literally destroyed what Bob Sr. and Alta worked so hard at building, all the hard work and fight that his parents went through to give Salina a beautiful final resting place for so many of our loved ones. I personally knew his parents, they were wonderful people. They are without a doubt turning in their graves at the terrible job their son has done with Roselawn. As to these allegations, I do not know this woman, I think however she should be afforded the chance to defend herself in court against these charges. My money on Bob getting caught and needing someone to blame. I really hope they are digging deep (no pun intended) into the Roselawn books.
