Why is the old principal leaving? I'm not saying that I'm upset about it. Hopefully this new guy will stand up against all the bullying going on that she took a slack approach about handling. I had to threaten police invilvement before she would take action against the kids bullying my child. If it weren't for me staying in constant contact about the situation, I feel she would have swept it under the rug.

aschosh...I agree! We have dealt with bullying for 3 years now. Nobody ever did anything about my daughter being bullied...so she has had to learn to be tough. She has stuck up for herself this year and even to the point she has been labeled a bully. I'm not saying its right she has turned into one of the "mean girls", but I truly beleive its because she got sick and tired of being bullied. Can't win...join them I guess. Its a constant battle of her either being in trouble for the stuff she says back to the girls or she comes home crying because of the bullying. Last year she got slapped and NOBODY DID ANYTHING! Urrrugh!

I believe this is a good idea to try different, my son and daughter keeps coming home crying a lot because they get pushed around and picked on and no one ever does anything to help them out.

Maybe the new guy will get in there and clean that mess up! I wasn't too concerned about the name calling because kids are going to act that way , but when the bullying gets physical something should be done and at schilling nothing was ever done. STAND UP TO BULLIES!!! Inside they are little, scared, ashamed people and they are screaming out for help through their actions.
