Two Hurt in Crash

Police say a mother and her child were transported to the hospital after a 2-vehicle accident occurred at Santa Fe and Ash Thursday morning.
Two people are hurt after a 2 vehicle crash in downtown Thursday morning.
According to Salina Police, a mother and child were transported to Salina Regional Health Center with unknown injuries after a van and pickup truck collided at the intersection of Santa Fe and Ash around 9:15am Thursday.
Mike Fogg of Salina saw the crash happen. He tells KSAL News that the truck ran a red light. It hit the van and knocked it onto its side.
Police say the driver of the truck refused medical treatment at the scene.
The name of the woman and child were not immediately released.
Police were interviewing eyewitnesses as the accident remains under investigation.

Sure hope everyone is ok. There are too many accidents happening lately. Lets just pay a little more attention when we are out driving around :)

Im wondering if 3 things were a factor in the accident. 1 speed, 2 distracted, 3 cell phone? Prayers go out to everyone!!

Who is Fogg sound like frog. Are you sure that is what you seem,I know anyone can run a red light but this young man have taken me to doctors a lots of times. I call him old man driver because he goes the speed limited or a little under there was a man that was walking that saw it hope he come forward and tell what he seem. And I pray that everybody is doing well that was taking to the hospital is well.

I wish some of the commenters would create a bashing blot instead of wasting space here to play their kindergarten name calling games. I am certain that the administrator gets so tired of the disrespectful people that waste his/her time on reviewing these comments. Its one thing to disagree with others' comments but have some respect for the people in the stories and running the sirmte that have to read through the garbage.

@whocares, I doubt that. The administrator just doesn't delete your comments because of your 1st amendment rights. The same reason that the pastor that pickets soldiers' funerals can't be stopped, but that doesn't mean that anyone with a backbone believes its right. Again, this is a news site, not a blog, you can bash eachother elsewhere.

I agree with RONNIEMUR. I get tired of everyone making trashy comments on every news/crime story. I have been passive aggressive in my attempts to "shut up" some of the commenters on the site but that doesn't work and this won't work either. Good try RONNIEMUR. I agree with all of your comments and if there were only more like yours...sigh...
