Thieves Steal Limestone Totem Pole

Salina police are looking for a stolen totem pole.

Police say that sometime on Monday between midnight and 3:30 in the afternoon, a totem pole was stolen from a yard at 435 Camden.

It is a limestone Aztec Indian head totem pole weighing 700 pounds. It is five feet tall, and was anchored into the ground.

Total loss is estimated at $700.

once again the cops rather write tickets for seat belt violations than do something about the crime wave going on in salina.
