The suspect is described as a 13 to 15-year old Hispanic male, weighing 100-pounds and wearing dark clothes.
Police are looking for a robbery suspect after an incident on a playground.
According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, a suspect described as a 13 to 15-year old Hispanic male, approached a female teenager on the playground at Oakdale Elementary School, 811 E. Iron around 12:20pm on Tuesday.
The victim told police after a brief conversation, she took an iPod from her pocket - and the male grabbed the device and ran.
Police say the suspect could face robbery charges because he took the iPod with force or with the threat of force.

If the iPod language setting was 'English' it was probably pitched not for from the scene when he realized it was useless to him.

What a horrible thing to happen to a young girl playing on a local school playground!! Where is the accountability from the local law enforcement, it's past the time our City Manager/Commissioners start holding the Chief of Police feet to the fire and demanding some answers and resolution to this crime spree going on around here!!!

Yes, why haven't the cops rounded op all the teenage Hispanic boys in the county and searched their homes by now? They have such a wealth of information kn this case, judging by the article, that it couldn't be illegal to do that. If it was a teenage white male who did it, I wonder if people would be so up in arms about it.

I agree with getumgranny....way too much crime in a city our size...way too much. That whole construction zone ticket situation should not have happened. man hours wasted on a bunch of nothing....those hours should have been spent on "real crime" being committed. those street cops should have been driving around cassing neighborhoods, not waiting for an illegal turn in a construction zone.....The chief in this town has become complacent. Hold him accountable or we need to get rid of him!!!!!
