Associated Press - Mon 09:05 AM 06/04/2012
A soldier from Overland Park will be honored before his funeral on Wednesday.
Twenty-three-year-old Pfc. Cale Miller died May 24 when he was trapped inside a vehicle when it was hit by a roadside bomb.
Miller's body is scheduled to arrive Monday morning at the Olathe airport. City officials have encouraged residents to line the street along the route of the processional for Miller. He was a 2007 Olathe Northwest graduate.
His funeral is scheduled for Wednesday. Gov. Sam Brownback has ordered that flags across Kansas fly at half-staff on that day.
Miller deployed with the 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
