Gee KSAL STAFF!! Lets put all the blame on the brand of riding lawnmower that Bob was riding. Like naming the brand of mower is going to keep everyone from buying that brand of mower! Condolences to all of the Johnson Famly Bob will be missed!

I think KSAL was just saying, hey, this can happen easily, be careful, that's all. People tend to take things for granted, and accidents do happen.

Stating the type of the mower help me understand why he was injured so badly. It is a big, heavy mower. Blessings to the Johnsons. So, saddened for them. RIP Bob.

I am just going to go ahead and say it. I don't think it was the ridding lawn mower as much as it was the operator. And I am certain that a large number of Cereal Malt Beverages AKA Beer were consumed while cutting the grass that morning. I can say it, he was related to my mothers side of the family, and very well know for it. In Clown County a lot of things go unsolved, unreported, or just lost to the sands of time. Clown County the Unsolved Murder Capital of Kansas. I am not in any

way saying that his death was anything but a accident. Just saying that certain details, and investigations will be overlooked. I hope the land owner has a good lawyer and insurance. It is just a matter of time before someone tells the family to sue. Unless the story is wrong and he was on his own property. But so far everyone is saying that it was the neighbors property.

@masterjace Let me begin by saying that this is Casey and Trish Beggs (son-in-law and daughter of Bob Johnson). masterjace, please start off by stating exactly who you are and your exact "relation" to Bob and this family. It is far too easy for a coward to hide behind a login and the internet. To the comment about Bob consuming "a large number of Cereal Malt Beverages AKA Beer"; I would like to know exactly how you have come to this conclusion. In the last four years I have known Bob (this is Casey speaking specificly) I have never seen him drunk or even slightly intoxicated for that matter.

I believe I speak on the behalf of the entire family (real family that is) when I say that there isn't even a question as to whether or not Bob was an alcoholic or even someone that would have a drink at 1:00 PM in the afternoon. Masterjace, I think that next time you try to tarnish a great man's legacy you should first, not be a coward, and second get your information straight. That being said, I think your best bet would be to just keep you mouth shut (or cowardly fingers off your keyboard).

Masterjace. HOW DARE YOU? How disgusting of a person do you really have to be.... to take a time like this. A horrible tragic accident that took an AMAZING man... an amazing grandfather...an amazing father... husband... away from a family... to take something so tragic and sensitive as this moment in these good peoples lives... and just DESTROY IT.... you should be embarrassed.... you should feel ashamed. Bob hardly ever drank. NEVER.... and this family is a GOOD family... a solid family full of love. A family people looked up to as an example of what a real family is. A family full of love and these grandbabies who loved their grandpa and looked up to him do not have him anymore.

How DARE you come on here and disgrace this family. you need to take a long hard look at yourself and your life. You have done a terrible thing today. You have hurt people who weren't even sure they were capable of hurting any more than they have in this situation.. Daughters,a son, a wife of 43 years, grandchildren...you had no tact for these people in mourning right now. its absolutely disgusting and you are only embarrassing yourself . these statements are 100 percent false and completely inaccurate . Any TRUE family that knew Bob would confirm this. You are not of this family....in these words you placed that is obvious.

Masterjace... this is for you. The first thing I noticed while reading your comment was the date and time it was published. Let me take you back to that day. While you were typing false accusations about Bob Johnson his wife, children, grandchildren, family members (not including you), co-workers and friends were waking up to the realization that they were going to put their loved one to rest that day. A day that came unexpected, and unwanted. I normally do not reply to people like you who write horrible things on the internet, lets face it I am giving you exactly what you want ATTENTION.

I met Bob when I was 10 years old, I will be 23 this year. I loved him very much and during those years I spent countless hours with the Johnson family. I have never seen Bob drink more than a couple casual drinks at a time, and I have NEVER seen Bob intoxicated by any stretch of the imagination. I know the chances of you replying to my comment are slim, but I hope my message finds its way back to you. You have hurt the ones who have read your comments, you have hurt me. We are stronger than the person you are.. I know this because we were blessed to have Bob in our lives. We are better people for knowing him, clearly you did not.

@ masterjace...you are clearly misinformed or screwed up on your facts and are of no relation to us or you would not write such garbage. I am his daughter n law and I believe casey and courtney have summed up everything that needed to be said.. you are a coward and shame on you for speaking ill of a wonderful man who will be loved and missed by all. Bob was an hard working honest man doing a favor for a fellow neighbor it was an accident and that was all..No cereal malt beverages aka beers were consumed. Anyone who knew him knows that what you have written is complete trash.

@masterjace....I think you need to get your facts straight before you go putting on posts like this. You obviously are not related to Bob's family or you would know your post is a bunch of crap! Why can't you use your real name if you're going to put on posts such as this! Your comments have hurt some of my dear friends and it makes me terribly angry! His family should not have to defend his honor against cowards like you! Get your facts straight next time before you bother posting!
